Due to some recording issues, we’ve re-recorded Simon’s episode, with all new content, and talk of Unity’s new GUI framework, uGUI!

Simon is a long time community developer focusing on all things XNA / Windows Phone / Windows 8 and beyond.

Technical Architect by day in the Healthcare division of a large services company while at night the game developer in him comes out. He’s very active in the MonoGame  community, in addition to Unity. Finally, Simon is a major contributor to the XNAUK user group and website.

  1. Hello Dave,

I love your broadcasts, They are really cool. There is one problem though. Broadcasts from 1 – 7a do not work. I cannot listen to them or download them as MP3. I just wanted to let you know. I haven’t tried listening to them on Itunes because frankly I hate that software. But honestly, I’m considering downloading Itunes just to listen to those broadcasts. Its worth it.

Anyways, Thanks and keep up the good work ^_^

    • Yes, I’m aware of that. The short reason:
with PodOmatic as the pdocast host, I can only store something like 1gb of files at a time. So it removes older episodes from the queue.

What I am in the process of doing, is storing all of the older episodes in Azure blob storage, and having a download link to that MP3 on each episode’s page.

What I would *really* like to do is have all of the episodes like that, and have them served as rss to podcast catchers. I haven’t found an easy way to do that just yet, though.

So yes, I am working on it. Currently on hotel wifi though, which is painful.

    • I’m sorry for the delay, I didn’t see this until now!

I keep download links for all of the shows on Azure, so you can go to any of the podcast pages and download / stream it from there. The podcast stream from PodOmatic goes down as I move forward, because I only have space for 10 shows at a time.

In this case, the download link on every page is your best bet, especially for older shows!

  2. Good news! I’ve uploaded all of the .mp3 files to blob storage today.

You can now download every episode as .mp3. The links are located at the post for their respective episode.
